Kazunori Ueda

Kazunori Ueda was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. At eighteen he began training in Kyoto salons, only to find out he had an innate ability to master hair.

In 1988, Kazunori made his big move to New York City, where he soon developed a large freelance clientele consisting of top magazines and photographers.

Kazunori has styled for publications such as: Dazed and Confused, W, Elle, Interview, Vogue Nippon, In Style magazine, and Italian Vogue. He has also worked with top photographers Torkil Gudnason, Dah Len, Alex Cayley, Markus Klinko, Guy Aroch, and Rankin. His work is often referred to as “genius” and his long list of celebrity clientele can attest to his amazing work. Kazunori has graced the heads of celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Melanie Griffith, Heather Graham, Jordan Sparks, and many more.

After spending thirteen years at the Warren-Tricomi salon as a top hairstylist, Kazunori collaborated with master colorist Stuart Hirsch to open their popular downtown salon, Kayrunn Hirsch.

Stuart Hirsch

Since beginning his career at Vidal Sassoon, Stuart has been gracing the heads of an elite clientele with the color of their dreams. At the young age of twenty-three, Stuart began freelancing for a variety of films and MTV. Soon after, Stuart became the owner of his own salon on Madison Avenue where he continued to fine-tune his craft.

Next, he moved on to the hottest celebrity and socialite spot of the time, Dinmar, where he worked for five years. Stuart then went on to hold a chair at the Pierre Michelle Salon where he stayed for sixteen years. He had the VIP room and created the color for many celebrity clientele. Later, Stuart worked at the Warren Tricomi while he planned his downtown salon that has now been opened for three years and continues to grow!

Stuart is a master colorist with an ever-lasting clientele consisting of a top New York crowd as well as celebrity clients. His work can be seen on Vera Farmiga, Noemie Lenoir, Julie Ordon, Jessica White, Diana Picasso, and Riley Keough. Stuart is also a devoted father to his beautiful son, Dylan, and an avid surfer!

It is with great enthusiasm we introduce you to the future of the Kayrunn Hirsch Salon. They are perfect representatives of the talent, focus, and level of technique the Kayrunn Hirsch Salon requires. These young colleagues will form not only the future of the salon, but also the future of the styling industry itself.

This skilled and energetic batch of new creators continuously focuses on what many consider the most important aspects of beautification: customer care and VIP service for all clients as well as the stylists who surround and inspire them.

Emi Agio
Title: Stylist

Emi was a top stylist in Japan for over eight years before making her debut in the USA. While in Japan she styled hair for various Japanese fashion magazines (GQ, Glitter, Gramalas) as well as music videos. She also worked extensively with MTV Japan and many Japanese celebrities. Emi styled at Tokyo fashion week for three seasons and later had the pleasure of styling at New York fashion week for another three seasons.

Nicole Blais
Title: Stylist

A native New Yorker, Nicole worked in a series of salons throughout her teenage years culminating in a three year apprenticeship at the famed Warren Tricomi Salon. After training with many of their top hairstylists, she decided to venture downtown to build a reputation of her own.

She has since become the red carpet stylist of choice for top models including AnaBeatriz Barros, Jessica Stam, Coco Rocha, and Jessica White, and includes actresses Vera Farmiga and Julie Ordon as well as celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz in her clientele.  Her work can be seen in publications such as American Vogue, Elle Décor, Paper Magazine and online editorial The Contributing Editor.  Nicole has worked on numerous shows at NY Fashion week for ten consecutive seasons. 

Amanda Spallino

Amanda is an up and coming stylist who has been working with the Kayrunn Hirsch Salon for over three years. After finishing beauty school at the early age of nineteen, she is pursuing her dream to do hair! She has styled K-Swiss fashion shows as well as many well-known models. Her specialty is women’s long hair.

Kaori
Title: Colorist

Kaori began her career as a colorist over a decade ago in Tokyo, where she built a reputation for excellence. Working with over three hundred clients a month, she is famous for her precision and attention to detail.  Kaori studied in London, Paris, and New York and has taught seminars to thousands of cosmetologists throughout Japan.  In addition, Kaori’s work has been featured in many prominent beauty magazines in Japan.

In 2004 Kaori moved to New York and began working at Warren-Tricomi, before coming to Kayrunn Hirsch Salon.  Kaori has quickly built up a large group of regular clients who are devoted to her sharp eye and skillful hand. Also, she is an expert in Asian hair.  Kaori’s favorite talent is turning raven-haired clients into seemingly natural blonds, as well as enriching the beauty of any client with her exceptional highlights.

Lauren Berrones
Title: Colorist

Lauren is an aspiring young colorist who is pursuing her dream she discovered through a box of color at age nine. She's obtained her skills from Vidal Sassoon Academy and the highly regarded Ted Gibson Salon.  After only two years, Lauren has achieved her own chair at Kayrunn Hirsch Salon and brings along her natural talent, as well as a unique vision on hair color. She is the up and coming colorist to watch for.
